My Story

Philip Wynn OBE

Coming into agriculture in the early 1970’s from a non-farming background was considered unconventional, if not eccentric. But food and farming has provided me with a fascinating career and I have been privileged to work alongside some of the industry’s best people.

My first 40 years were spent managing and developing farm businesses across the sectors but in the last decade my focus has shifted to strategic leadership, specialist consultancy and mentoring.

My commitment to a more integrated approach to the management of farms where commercial production sits comfortably alongside care for the environment and nature has been a constantly evolving journey.

As Chair of LEAF since 2017, I have brought a sharp focus to developing this concept while educating both consumers and the next generation about the care and skill that goes into growing their food.
